How to start selling event tickets.

A practical walkthrough from organiser setup to welcoming your guests.

Create your first event

1. Set up your organiser account

Create an account. Choose language and currency, add your organiser name and logo, then connect Stripe if you plan to sell paid tickets. Stripe may request information to verify your account.

2. Describe your event

Provide an accurate date, time zone and venue. Explain who the event is for, what guests can expect and practical details. Use an image you have permission to publish.

For a concert, include the artist or ensemble, door opening time, performance start time, any age restriction and directions. Give the concert a descriptive name and complete the separate venue address and city fields.

3. Create your tickets

Choose the price and capacity of each ticket type. Add a seating chart for reserved seats. Check the currency, prices and ticket names.

Plan your revenue before setting prices. EventFlow charges 5% on paid tickets and the organiser also pays Stripe card fees. Free tickets have no platform fee.

4. Choose visibility and share

An unlisted event can be shared by link without joining EventFlow’s search listings. Choose public visibility when you want the event discoverable through search. Share the ticket link through your own channels.

5. Test and welcome your guests

Test ticket selection and check-in before the event. Invite the staff you need, arrange internet access and explain where guests can find their tickets. Follow sales and admissions in your dashboard.

  • Open the ticket link on a phone that is not signed in as the organiser
  • Check the date, venue, currency and ticket types
  • For reserved seating, check row labels and seat numbers
  • Test QR check-in and the internet connection at the venue
  • Give guests a clear way to contact the organiser with event questions

A worked example for a small concert

Example: Sell 80 tickets at £20. Ticket revenue is £1,600. EventFlow’s 5% fee is £80, leaving £1,520 before Stripe card fees and other costs.

This is an illustrative calculation, not a customer story or a promise of ticket sales. Use the calculator with your own ticket count and price.
